But I disagree that you couldn’t expand on The Watchmen because it was envisioned without a sequel in mind. I actually agree with you that Doomsday Clock was not necessary. You are blaming a writer as if the corporate half didn’t have a say on it prior to approving the titles. They’re not always great, and sometimes they’re mandated. I have seen stories that were supposedly one and done get expanded upon. You said you’re not building or expanding work that was a one and done story that wasn’t designed with a sequel in mindĬlearly with three different attempts DC felt there was (if someone was counting the tv series that followed the ending of the movie). Yes, Alen Moore the man above all selling out(Except when he does it example Young Blood) and would never write a story based on someone else’s material ( Watchmen being based on an episode of The Outer Limits). ![]()
